This autobiography, A Child Called “It” by Dave Pelzer is about a boy who was brutally abused by his mother and how he survived his horrible abusive mother. Dave Pelzer is the boy in the story who was and survived his abusive mother. Dave talks about how his mother beat him over and over and over again daily. Each of his chapters tells a different abusive thing his mother did and what his teachers, nurse, and principal did to and for him. In one chapter he tells how his mother told him to lay on the stove while it is on. In another chapter he says that his mother stabbed him, the chapter before this one was telling how he literally fought for food. Now I don’t want to ruin the ending for you so I won’t tell you everything of every chapter, however I will tell you that this story will honestly change your life and open your eyes to all the things that are happening in the world. This will change your life by realizing whether you are doing good or bad in your life. Dave wrote two more books, The Lost Boy and A Man Called Dave. I hope you take my advice and read this book and the other two books Dave wrote.  FS
